Install in 5 minutes — even if you've never wrapped before
- Wipe your Steam Deck down with the included alcohol wipe and let it dry.
- Peel the backing paper from a corner of the front piece.
- Line up the screen cutout, then press from the center outward.
- Use the application card to push out any air bubbles.
- Repeat for the back piece. Done.
The air-release adhesive means you can lift, reposition, and re-press as many times as you need before it locks in. No experience required. If you mess it up during install, email us a photo — we'll send a free replacement, no questions asked.
Care & longevity
Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap. Avoid acetone, harsh solvents, and abrasive scrubbers. The protective lamination is rated for 5+ years of daily use, but most customers swap designs every 6–12 months just for the variety. The vinyl pulls off clean and residue-free whenever you're ready for the next look.
Frequently asked questions
Will this work with the Steam Deck Dock?
Yes — the skin adds no measurable thickness, so your Deck still slots into the official Valve dock, third-party docks, and JSAUX-style aftermarket cases without any modification.
Will the skin affect cooling or cause overheating?
No. We laser-cut every skin to leave the rear fan intake, side vents, and exhaust vents fully exposed. The vinyl itself is not insulating where it sits on the case; airflow is unaffected.
Is it safe to remove? Will it leave residue?
100% safe. The 3M™ adhesive is engineered for residue-free removal — the same property is what makes 3M-skinned cars peel back to factory-new paint. We've seen customers remove and reapply skins after 3+ years with zero residue.
Can I use a hard case over the skin?
Yes, the skin is thin enough to slip into protective travel cases (including the Valve carrying case it shipped with). For full-time hard cases like JSAUX shells, we recommend going skin-only — the extra layer doesn't protect any more than the case does.
Does the skin cover the screen?
No. The screen is intentionally cut out so you have full touchscreen access and no glare. We also leave the back logo / regulatory text exposed — this is a wrap, not a smother.
Is it waterproof? Sweat-proof?
Sweat- and splash-resistant. Not designed for full submersion. The lamination shrugs off normal hand oils, condensation, drink spills, and sneezes. (Don't dunk it.)

Every skin is printed-on-demand from our USA facility — typically 1–7 business days from order to door inside the US, with free shipping over $35. International orders ship via tracked carriers in 7–14 business days.
